Company’s policy on Damaged Baggage

 The passenger shall report any damage to his / hers baggage at the time of arrival at the station of destination, and details describing the damage shall be clearly indicated on Damage report completed by the Officer in charge at the station, by giving details as follows:

 

• A photo and dimensions of the damaged baggage
• Purchase date and receipt of baggage 
• Assessment report and receipt by the repairer
• Passport
• Bus ticket 

 

No claim will be accepted in the case where passenger has left the station without declaring the damage at station forthwith after the discovery of the damage and at the latest within 12 hours from the date of the event giving sufficient proofs that the damage occurred while under the care of Kapnos Airport Shuttle (The Company)otherwise claim will be rejected.

 

The company will not accept liability for damages due to Wear and Tear which includes and not limited to:

• Scratches, dents, dirt and stains
• Damage due to over-packed baggage (i.e zipper drivers)
• Loss of items attached to the bag (external locks, mats, security straps)
• Lost, broken or damaged handles
• Musical instruments and any other special baggage under limited release label.
• Damaged fragile items

In the case where the Company establishes  that the damageto the bag rest with the Company’s full responsibility, then a settlement process will bi initiated and the passenger will either granted a reasonable amount for the purpose or repairing the bag or if the bag is considered as total loss ,the passenger will be compensated in accordance with the value of the bag and in any way not more than €100 for a large luggage and €50 for a cabin luggage size.

The company will not accept liability for any damage(unless at fault of the company ) of personal items accidentally lost or left behind on the bus or at the Station

The company shall not accept claims made for items such as jewelry / precious metal or watches / gems / money /mobile telephones/ laptops/ medicine, medical devices, business and official documents and passports or any other valuables, as such items should always carried by care and passengers’ full responsibility.
